Moises Fagundes is a Music Teacher at Milpitas High School in Milpitas, CA, where he conducts the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, String Orchestra, Jazz Band, and runs the Marching Band and color guard. Mr. Fagundes also began the Milpitas Orchestra Academy in the Milpitas Unified School District in the 2019-2020 school year. Prior to working at Milpitas, Fagundes has worked at Andrew Hill High School in San Jose and Tioga Middle School in Fresno, as well as being a Marching Band instructor at Leigh High School, Clovis High School, Clovis North High School, Selma High School, and Tulare Union High School.
Fagundes received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from California State University, Fresno. There, Fagundes was a part of the Wind Orchestra Board of Directors and The Bulldog Marching Band Leadership team. He studied Clarinet under Miles Ishigaki and conducting under Gary P. Gilroy. Mr. Fagundes’ professional affiliations include Santa Clara County Band Directors Association (SCCBDA) where he is currently the Vice President, California Band Directors Association (CBDA), and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
